Dr. Energy Saver of Hudson Valley was contacted by Fallkill Properties to see how we could improve the energy efficiency and comfort level of a 400 SQFT apartment that they were renovating. They contacted us to provide them with a quote based on previous work that we had done for them.
We were able to improve the energy efficiency and comfort level of this 400 SQFT apartment by applying spray foam insulation to the walls, as well as their ceiling. By applying spray foam insulation to these areas we were able to seal the thermal envelope of the structure, remediate sound from both above them and outside and reduce overall energy costs by making sure that their HVAC system does not have to work extremely hard during both the cold and hot months.
This homeowner contacted Dr.Energy l Saver of Hudson Valley to find out what could be done to help lower his utility bills, as well make his home more comfortable. Our specialist evaluated their home and realized that their thermal envelope was not secure. In orded to combat the issues at hand we had to install blow in cellulose in their attic and new windows to seal their thermal envelope.
After the work was performed our specialist returned and completed a blower door test to see what changes had occured from the beginning of his inital assessment to after his homeowner contacted Dr.Energy l Saver of Hudson Valley to find out what could be done to help lower his utility bills, as well make his home more comfortable. Our specialist evaluated their space and realized that their thermal envelope was not secure. He proposed installing blow in cellulose in their attic and installing new windows to seal their thermal envelope. Here you can see the starting process of our specialist evaluation their space.the installation. After performing the blower door test our specalist was able to show the homeowner the diffrences that were taking place. Ultimately in the end the client was extremely happy with all the work that was performed, but more importantly he was so greatful for how much more comfortable we made his home.
This homeowner contacted Dr. Energy Saver of Hudson Valley to transform their basement and garage into two distinct and functional areas, as well fix their energy loss and comfort issues. In order for us to complete this project, we had to break it into two phases. We did this to ensure that everything was installed properly, as well as to not compromise our quality of workmanship.
First, we laid our floor matting throughout the entirety of the basement as well as the garage to separate the floor from the earth even more, as well as to make sure that everything was level. We then started to lay our insulated floor decking throughout the entirety of the basement and garage.
Next, we installed R-30 Open-cell spray foam in both the garage ceiling and their rim joists. In conjunction with installing R-30 Open-cell spray foam in the garage, we as well installed Open-cell spray foam with an R-value of R-14 in their stairwell and the adjoining wall that separated the garage from the basement. This was done to make sure that their home was properly air-sealed.
Finally, along the entirety of their walls, we installed our Foamax wall insulation. Once we finished installing all of our patented products throughout their basement and garage we covered everything up with our Basement to Beautiful Panels. These panels are great because they give our clients a sleek, energy-efficient design with a clean looking finish, but more importantly, they provide additional insulation with a moisture-resistant vapor barrier.
Since having us install our patented insulating products these homeowners have noticed a significant difference in temperature throughout their entire home, as well they have seen a reduction in how hard their HVAC system has to work. Because of these factors, we have been able to bring peace of mind, as well as comfort back into their lives.
To optimize this Marlboro homes energy efficency and comfort, we encapsulated the roof slopes with 8 inches of open cell spray foam insulation.
