Expert Spray Foam & Attic Insulation Contractor

The idea of home insulation has been around for centuries. Cavemen lived in caves because of the natural protection it afforded them. Modern dwellings do not naturally keep the inhabitants warm and comfortable, insulation must be added to get the job done. Pink fiberglass insulation was used for decades but now Polyurethane spray foam is the best product available.

Benefits of Spray Foam Insulation Include:

  • Spray foam works in all areas of the home
  • Spray foam has greater R-value than fiberglass
  • It also acts as an air sealant
  • Is a completely waterproof product
  • And it won't leave any gaps

By adding additional attic insulation, you will make your home more comfortable and save money on your energy bills. We all know that heat rises and as a result attic insulation can have a major impact on the efficiency of your home. When you are heating your home in the colder months that heat will rise and escape through your attic. Depending on the size of your home the amount of heat that will escape could be equivalent to keeping a window open. In a national study, the average R-value found in an average attic is R-19 while the U.S. Department of Energy recommends an R-value between R-49 and R-60. Dr. Energy Saver of Hudson Valley has the trained professionals who will be able to give you certainty about the attic insulation in your home and its overall efficiency. Call or click today to Save up to 20% or more in heating and cooling costs with a properly insulated attic!

Job Stories From Nyack, NY
Spraying Cellulose To Make a Home More Comfortable - Nyack, NY

This homeowner had noticed for quite some time that he was having an issue with his home being either too cold or hot throughout the year. Because of this he was more than inclined to contact Dr. Energy Saver of Hudson Valley to help him figure out what was going on.

After our specialist had performed his assessement he was able to convey to the homeowner that the reason he was losing so much heat and cooling was due to his attic being not properly insulated. In this case we ended up installing blown cellulose in the attic to make sure that the home was secure.

Several months after having us install blown cellulose he has noticed nothing but major changes in terms of how comfortable his home was now, as well how much of a different he saw in his bills.

We recently purchased a home that has spray foam insulation in two unvented attic crawlspaces (behind knee walls, with a finished area in the center). Because it's unvented and contains HVAC equipment, I know the spray foam needs to be fairly airtight. Due to a recent roof leak, one area measuring about 2' x 2' had to be torn away, plus about 7 small holes were made in other panels to check for dampness (about 2" x 2" each). I assume these need to be professionally filled. Is this something your company can do at a reasonable charge? Thank you.
